About photography: The gear used for these photo galleries is very simple and inexpensive. A Canon EOS 100D (18 Megapixel) and three objectives (EFS 10-22 mm, EFS 55-150 mm, and an EF 50 mm), plus some filters and a tripod. For a few images my mobile phone was used. The EFS 55-150 mm objective was used for all butterfly photos.

Editing of the RAW images is kept to a minimum, consisting of cropping and minor light adjustments with ACDSee Pro 8 software (recommended). Experiments in HDR photography have been minimal, and this technique is not used much any longer.
